Overall Purpose
The job of Temporary Student Support Technician is done for the purpose/s of assisting in the maintenance and record keeping of the Clarke County Innovative Digital Learning Environments program.

Essential Functions
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots common electronic device problems (software update, wireless connectivity, firmware update, login issues, device not charging)
- Prepares devices that need to be sent to repair center.
- Catalogs devices that need additional support into Destiny database.
- Labels devices needing repair with specific repair requirements.
- Maintains accurate and timely device inventory.
- Communicates effectively with school stakeholders.

- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Required to perform multiple tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; preparing and maintaining accurate records; adhering to safety practices and procedures; and promoting activities and/or events.

Required to perform basic math; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Required to schedule activities; collate data; and use job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize specific, job-related equipment. Problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate. Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Eighteen (18) years of age minimum
Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing.
