SUMMARY

The person in this position will perform general labor tasks, assisting maintenance, warehouse personnel and groundskeepers throughout the District. Position will require physical labor tasks such as moving furniture in and out of classrooms, assisting in maintenance of facilities and grounds, hauling materials and supplies, working inside and outside in hot weather, and other duties as assigned.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

  1. Must pass a background check which includes employee paid fingerprinting, required prior to start of work.
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  4. Must be able to meet the Physical Demands of the position.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Assist maintenance/warehouse personnel.
  2. Move/assemble classroom furniture.
  3. Assist groundskeepers in maintaining fields and other District properties.
  4. Perform basic repairs when needed.
  5. Handle, move and dispose of materials, trash, equipment, furniture, sand, gravel, rocks and etc.
  6. Perform any other task as may be required by the supervisor, lead worker, and/or administration relating to this job classification.
  7. Perform all duties of the position within the scope of CCSD policies and procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality.
  8. Work closely with, and communicate with, the assigned lead and the Buildings and Grounds Manager.
  9. Report problem areas and safety hazards in or on school facilities.
  10. Provide assistance to and/or coordinate with other employees and trades in order to accomplish the highest possible quality and quantity of work in the least amount of time, without causing undue hardship for other craftsmen or shops.
  11. Perform all duties of the position within the scope of CCSD policies and procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality.
  12. Performs other related jobs and duties as assigned.
